Non-Combustibility Apparatus (ISO 1182)
Test Principle (ISO 1182 / EN 1716 Context)
The Non-Combustibility Apparatus is designed to evaluate the non-combustibility performance of building and railway materials under a controlled furnace environment at 750 °C.
- The test specimen (Ø 45 mm × 50 mm height) is inserted into a stabilized furnace at 750 °C.
- The temperature of the furnace, specimen surface, and specimen center are continuously measured.
- Flaming time, mass loss, and temperature rise are recorded to determine the non-combustibility performance.
This test is widely used for material classification in EN 13501-1, EN 45545-2, DIN 4102, IMO FTP Code, etc.
